
Manage the Wolfe Island Community Medical Clinic to provide Wolfe Island residents with access to a family doctor and medical services; host activities that promote healthy lifestyles and social relationships for Wolfe Island residents; deliver health and wellness programs to improve the overall health of the Wolfe Island community.
A financially sustainable clinic utilized by the community on a regular basis for a variety of health and wellness related activities.
Kathy Gantz
Kathy and her husband purchased our home on Easy Lane in 2013 and made Wolfe Island our permanent residence 2017. She has been in healthcare for 40 years working at Canadian Blood Services. During that time, she held various position and is now the Director of Canadian Blood Services Stem Cell program.
Kathy has been a volunteer on a number of board of directors for the various sports activities my children were in while growing up. Most notable was 10 years with Canada’s 7th largest skating club.

Sheila MacDonald – Treasurer
Sheila’s mother, Rita Greenwood, was born on Wolfe Island to a family that arrived here 200 years ago. She married my father who was in mining and so our family grew up in Northern Ontario. They came to Kingston/Wolfe Island every summer to visit with our relatives. Because of the deep family connection, the Island is a very special place for her and her siblings. Sheila graduated from the University of Toronto and then joined the Royal Bank of Canada for 38 years. The last 10 years of her career she was the Director of Human Resource Services for Canada, UK, Europe and Asia with a staff of 250 people. In 2015 she retired and within a couple of years with her husband they made the decision to move to Wolfe Island and ultimately purchased and renovated a home here in 2017, moving in 2019.
“It is important to me, now that I am retired, to give back to my community and so I joined the Board of the Medical Clinic. I very much enjoy being able to contribute to the well being of my fellow Island residents.”
Paul Tenzer – Secretary
Paul Taenzer is a semi-retired clinical psychologist who moved to Wolfe Island with his wife Judith Kinghorn in 2010. Paul’s career included various roles including patient care, healthcare research, management, education, and training, as well as service on the board of directors a Canadian national professional not-for-profit corporation. He currently serves as the Secretary for the Board
Danielle Hogan
Danielle Hogan is a resident of Wolfe island for the past 22 years. A registered nurse currently working full time at Hotel Dieu hospital as the Charge Nurse for the Childrens outpatient Center. She has raised two beautiful daughters, that both went to sacred heart Catholic school (jk-8), then on to Regi then Queen’s.
“I strongly believe our community benefits and appreciates the many volunteers who supplement and grow the medical services provided. Without volunteers it wouldn’t be what it is today. This community was built and continues to grow on the values of family and community. We are passionate about our community and only want to leave this place better than we found it for our future generations.”
Yveta Tesar
Yveta Tesar immigrated to Canada from than Czechoslovakia in 1985 and settled on Wolfe Island where she has resided for more than 30 years. She graduated from St. Lawrence College in Kingston with dual Diploma of Computer Programmer Analyst and School of Business and works for Ministry of Health & Long-Term Care as a Senior System Testing Analyst. Yveta has been involved in IT projects supporting the work of the Ministry of Health to provide services throughout the health system in Ontario.
Most recently she worked on a variety of COVID related applications, Safe Drinking Water applications or applications supporting Public Health Inspectors to provide Inspections to Long Term Care homes.
